macman,
I thought Freesat and FTA had the same list of channels except for the 7/10 day EPG guide that you get with freesat?
If you use single feed on a twin feed freesat box, can you still record 1 channel?
Thanks for recommending Humax Foxsat HDR. I will take a look on fleebay for prices..0 -
If you mean Freesat and Freesat From Sky, they are difFerent platforms. Similar channels, but not identical.
FTA is a different thing.
Yes you can-but only the channel you are viewing. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
All Freesat boxes will give you acces to the Freesat channels, and in non-Freesat mode to the FTA channels on the same satellite alignment.
Hi macman...Just out of interest, what in your opinion is the best option to go with for a Sky dish :
1. The £25 one-off payment to Sky for Freesat via Sky using an old Sky+ box
2. Or a new Freesat box for pure Freesat ?
Also which one would give you the more channels ?0 -
Depends which specific channels you want-the listings are available on the respective websites.
With Sky you cannot use the PVR functions without paying £10pm-they're free on Freesat. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
