Has anyone else discovered 'pinterest'?

I heard of pinterest and had a gander, its brill and has really got my creative side going, and Im itching to make something...though not quite sure what yet.
I signed up and got an invite the same evening, but Im having a few problems with it, the site just seems full of glitches, or is it just me?
I had to sign up through my fb and its got my profile pic as my profile image on there now and it wont let me change it, basically nothing in the settings menu works!! I cant unlink from facebook and have just realised its posting things Ive pinned on my timeline. Ive sent them an email but no repsonse yet...its so frustrating, Ive had to stop using it until I can unlink my facebook account and change my picture as its a pic of my children I dont want splashed all over a public site!
Tempted just to delete it and start again and maybe link it to my twitter instead as thats not so personal but Ive got a feeling the delete account button aint gonna work either, such a shame as its a really good idea.

You're not using Chrome are you? I found that nothing worked in Chrome but was better in Opera or Firefox. But there's nothing to stop you 'inviting' yourself then signing up via Twitter!

Im using internet explorer 9, Ive googled this problem but nobody else seems to have it
I could use my other email to do a new account and sign in via twitter I suppose, but would have to think of yet another user name and everything, and still I may have the same problems, but the way its going I think this is what I'll do, thanks

I wish I could remember how I set up my account without linking to Facebook Maybe I did link in the first place and then unlinked. Although I am certain I wouldn't have broadcast what I was upto on Facebook, I don't usually follow other links to share things.

I must admit, when I joined it did seems abit hit and miss as to what I was doing, so its hardly surprising this I can't remember what I did.

I know that once you are in you can "turn off" the Facebook and Twitter Link. Also when you "pin" something you are promted to Share it on Facebook, I just hit the X in the corner and it seems to work.

Yes I had read you could unlink your FB account once registered so wasnt that bothered about it, I gave access for it to take my FB details like any other app on there.
But when I go into settings and unlink it and save, when I go back into settings its checked to linked again! I also thought it would prompt me to share a pin, I wouldn't mind that somethings I might like to share, but it obviously hasnt its done it automatically.
I have managed to go into the app settings within FB and remove the option of it sharing anything on my timeline now at least, its just my image I still cant change

I replied to my invitation and joined via Facebook, I then un-linked FB in Pininterest settings. Also in Settings I could upload a different image/photo from my Facebook one.

I've just checked again, and it has stayed as 'un-linked'.


Maybe there is just a glitch on yours, or maybe if you clear your cookies it may help, but who knows, I'm no expert that's for sure, but maybe worth a go.

Cleared cookies, still no change, if I sign up via twitter can you add your facebook account later on if you want? I dont mind it on there I just want to be able to choose what I share

Yes I would think so, I can see in "my settings" in Pintrest that I can turn on my Facebook account or Twitter should I want to.

I feel the pain for the people who are having gliches as its usually me!! At this rate, I can't quite beleive its worked for me. :cool:

I set up an account via Facebook but set it so only I can see my posts.
I'm hoping that works - how will I know? LOL!
