Beko are cheap though you never get quality with there products. Sorry I know it doesn't help you but I wouldn't touch there stuff.

I've had several Beko appliances and been happy with all of them, none have failed prematurely. Currently got a matching Beko fridge and freezer (seperate not a fridge/freezer) and am very happy with them. Would definitely buy Beko again.

As title, my fridge/freezer has packed up and I've been told it's uneconomical to repair (the compressor has gone) ...
    Probably true.
TBH I would have expected it to last a lot longer than this considering it's not overused or treated badly and my mum has fridges and freezers that are older than me (26 years!)
Nothing lasts as long as it used to. On the other hand, in real terms, they are a lot cheaper, so you get what you pay for.
I found this www dot whitegoodshelp.co.uk/wordpress/eu-2-year-guarantee-sales-of-goods-act-gives-us-6-years-to-claim-for-faulty-appliances/ and wondered if I had any comeback to Beko or the retailer for some form of compensation?
Not really, not after 5 years.

I might have a go at this if I can find the receipt and remember where I bought it! Worth a try!

Tool late now you didn't give them an opportunity to fix it
