As stated earler in the thread I am a newbie to 'messin with nails'
Sadly I have broken them all recently (stacking a couple of tonnes of firewood will do that) so they are short at the mo and that was one of the reasons to look for something to perk them up a bit.
So be gentle.... my first few gos:

I'm really loving Revlon's Stormy right now. I think I may have found my favourite. It says quick dry and it actually is! By the time I'd done my 2nd hand the 1st was touch dry and within about 2 minutes it's completely dry. Love love love!0

Oh my gosh... her nails are utter perfection. If I tried recreating her designs, they would probably end up looking like a big ugly blob...
I think I should invest in a dotting tool, whenever I do dots they look all uneven.
If you go to the you tube channel I mentioned earlier she shows you how to make home made ones. I did the pin / pencil one. Worked a treat and no costPlease note I have a cognitive disability - as such my wording can be a bit off, muddled, misspelt or in some cases i can miss out some words totally...0 -

I've never seen such perfectly manicured nails (so envious). I'm inspired, my new mission is to recreate her nails from 3rd March blog post.

Loving this thread! Have only recently started painting my nails, in fact in was my new years resolution, lol! Had a habit of picking the skin around my nails, and having them painted pretty colours has somehow managed to curb my horrible ways! Having been picking up China Glaze and OPI polishes from Sallys over the last thre months and now have quite a nice little selection, but my most favourite purchases were yesterday; a bottle of China Glaze Flying Dragon (Neon), OPI Metalic for Life, and Seche Vite top coat! Seriously I don't know how I managed without this amazing top coat, nails literally dry in a few minutes! I love it! :j
Will be looking out for easy nail art ideas, love some of the more complicated ones, but as I'm cack handed will not be atempting them :rotfl:The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.0 -
Link for the online shop where OPI is £7.16

There is something nice about having your nails gelled, so they look perfect (apart from some growth at the cuticle) but I do miss playing with nail varnish and I do get bored with the colour. And knowing I have to pick a colour that I will be able to put up with for 3 weeks.
Silvercar - but you can paint normal polish on top of gel polish for a change, then take it off with acetone free remover and your gel polish will stil be perfect underneath!0 -
