I bought No 7 Vivid Violet with my £5 voucher today, tested it on one nail, it does look great with FF over it, but it is horrible polish, 3 if not 4 coats needed and I found it hard to control the brush, so messy cuticles resulted. I would have been very unhappy to have paid £7 for it rather than £2. I might try it on my toes, but I think it will end up in a charity shop.
Agreed, I've never been a big fan of No7 polishes. I've just put VV on and the formula is horrid and the brush is awful...but...I persevered and it looks great after 3 coats and a quick dry topcoat. Similar to OPI Plugged In Plum but VV is better with my skintone.0 -
I chipped a nail today while working, so redid my nails tonight. Went for a cerise miss sporty with FF on top. It has completely changed the colour, but its quitE rich and nice.

However, we have the wonderful grumpiest dog staying with us for the next fortnight and he hates the painting of nails so not sure if I will play so much for the next fortnight.
Must admit I hate the max factor brush too small and already feels empty0 -

The brush is a PITA - i couln't get a comofortable grip on the bloody handle and kept dropping it.
I've got for LD Emerald City which was ok - but i decided i needed to jazz it up so applied a coat of NI Electric Lane so its all nice and sparkly.
Electric Lane is my favorite polish - i have to stop myself appliying a coat of it to everything i ever paint my nails.I'm so boring, my clothes wanna keep someone else warm, someone cooler0 -

Stopped by boots today and found out they are selling gel nails kit.its pretty pricey, £85 for 10 applications but it does include the lamp and cures for 30seonds.I'm not into the gel thing but want to let you guys know. Btw,superdrug has sally Hansen regular polish remover for 49p.0 -
I did mine with OPI Kiss Me on My Tulips and accent with FF
Then I used the OPI Herring alternated with Pedal Faster Suzi, then added FF and some Sally Hanson flakie

My nails today are a good follow-up to elsies post. I'm in OPI Red light ahead...where? Also in the Dutch treat minis. Now those brushes are a PITA!
It's a much redder colour than on all the swatches I've seen. If you have Cajun Shrimp its a bit lighter than that. It's definitely a red, not a pink or coral as some blogs mention.
My fab rings are by jewellery designer Miranda Chambers btw. Christmas present from hubby.0 -
There is something nice about having your nails gelled, so they look perfect (apart from some growth at the cuticle) but I do miss playing with nail varnish and I do get bored with the colour. And knowing I have to pick a colour that I will be able to put up with for 3 weeks.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I'm like that with OPI servin up sparkle so holographic so shiny so fabulous
I like Servin' Up Sparkle - but i find so hard to get it even. I know its supposed to be random but on some nails i end up with the little glitter only and other nails just the larger discs.
I then end up dabbin it an it takes and age to dryCaroline73 wrote: »I'm in OPI Red light ahead...where? ....

Ooooh.Cajun Shrimp is my go-to summer toe nail colour - might have to dabble in this to see the difference.I'm so boring, my clothes wanna keep someone else warm, someone cooler0 -

Ref Ruby Pumps, I've got it and don't think it's as bad as some glitters, I've just got the accessorize 3d glitters which look amazing on but are a total pain to remove. I shall have to look up this foil method to see what that's all about!0
