Yay, my new stamping plate has arrived and the patterns are big enough to do my full nail - it's Kand plate number M69 for £2.00 from ebay.

Technic holographic polish sounds nice - what's the name of the colour?

I think I have the same one and its not big enough for my thumbs :(
I have quite thin hands so my nails aren't huge but I think my thumb nails must be abnormally big in comparison to the rest!
I may try playing with taping off part of the nail, otherwise I can see all my full nail plates going on ebay. Or is there a NPA swapping place?

Hidden Treasure over black polish is a dupe for Kleancolor Chunky Holo in Black, also over a black polish. Sometimes I add Kleancolor Chunky Holo in Scarlet on top of the Chunky Holo Black and all the glitter turns bright red. Again, that combo on top of a gorgeous bright red polish looks amazing.

Arghh. Bad influences again all of you ;)
I've found somewhere on ebay doing these for £6.44 including postage. Do you think this is the best deal I'll get or have you found somewhere better? I'd not mind if I only wanted one but now I've seen them all I must have at elast 3 or 4!

I got my Hidden Treasure from ebay and it's my weekend task to swatch it over a few different colours.

Can't remember who was asking after Fantasy Fire bases but I've just put up a load of swatches on my blog to give you an idea of what they look like over different colours. Nails Inc Jermyn street was a bit of a surprise find.

I've also ordered a full nails stamping plate (well I hope it's full nail size!) from ebay. I've already got the stamper and scraper so fancied having a go at a full nail design.

Can you point me at your blog please?
Just so I can find more things I really must NOT buy of course :D

I've just found a blog post from Scrangie, doing a comparison between Hidden Treasure & Nubar 2010. Seems they're almost identical so I don't think I can justify buying Hidden Treasure as well.

I've just found it again and its now £2.99 plus £2.50 postage, when I bought postage was free so I just couldn't say no! On the other hand they seem to do the next item for 80p so, if you bought several things, it might well work out a real bargain.

If you just don't want to know the ebay item number look away now!

So yesterday I found myself in poundland again. That place has become nailvarnish heaven for me!
Three Revlon's for (you guessed it) a pound each ;)

Black Lingerie - basic black but I didn't have one and I'm sure I needed one. Two coats on a nail wheel looks pertty good - a third isn't really necesary but will probably make it better.

Steel her Heart - a metalic grey - two coats on a wheel are a bit see through still and there's some brush marks. I think an extra coat will fix the first issue but not the second. I never have managed to find a gunmetally colour that doesn't streak.

Ruby Ribbon Matte Suede - a darkish, pinkyish, mattish red. Two coats look pretty good - only with the sun directly behind the wheel does it look like it needs a third.

Currently wearing Revlon Stormy - also from poundland. I rather like it but the other half says it is boring and looks like undercoat on a ship.

Yes. Can't remember exactly how much but an awful lot less than elsewhere :)

I bought this (Hidden Treasure) recently from ebay, from a seller called onlinemakeupstore. It was £2.99 and free delivery. Huge bottle too (well compared to max factor and orly!)

    Pah! What does he know??

Few weeks ago a bloke I work with told me I looked like I'd had an accident with a hammer when I was wearing Nails Inc Pembroke Close (lilac/purple).

Callie22...onlinemakeupstore is now charging £2.50 p&p, so you got in at the right time.

Great news:j While on my quest for a greyed lilac polish, I found this http://www.gildednails.co/2011/05/essie-autumn-2011-comparisons.html I have never seen $OPI Metro Chic irl, but did fall for it from reading MUA Nail Blog. I have bought Merino Cool and like it very much, but it is not the colour I have in my head:mad: The nearest I have got so far is one coat of Nails Inc Lowndes Sq over 1 thick coat LD Zero Gravity. I only paid a couple of £ for the Lowdes Sq, perhaps I should try adding some black to it?

If you would like to see the Merino Cool, PM me and I can send you a painted falsie (nail):rotfl: for you to compare with your precious MC:)
Happy weekend everyone, lovely and sunny here today.

Just bobbing on again after my trip into town centre. Our local Boots has started selling Essie polishes which I'm excited about. Had a look at the Merino Cool and to me it looks very similar to Leighton Denny Leading Lilac and more lilac (again) than Metro Chic. Can't wait for my bottle to arrive. x

Did buy some lacquers today but they were a gift for Emma's friend. Was the Beetlejuice set by Models Own and they looked gorgeous.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Don't tell anyone but I get mine from this ebay shop http://stores.ebay.co.uk/BeautyJoint/KleanColor-/_i.html?_fsub=3105109012&_sid=1030672192&_trksid=p4634.c0.m322

Kleancolor is £1.20 per bottle and excellent shipping costs. Only problem is you have to a) try to restrict yourself from buying one of everything and b) wait for a few days until you see it.

DISCLAIMER: If you end up not eating for the rest of the month it's not my fault :rotfl:

Actually, I think that might be applicable to me, I've just bought Sugar Coat and Blue-Eyed Girl ;)
