Just ordered Barry M Croc Effect but wondered what did you use as a base colour for this look? Fantastic......

I used two coats of No7 Pearly Pink (which actually isn't very pink at all) as a base. And I painted the croc effect on quite thick to get the big chunks.

I think anything pale and shimmery/pearly would work really well as a base.

You weren't wrong, it really is more of a sheer pearly gold colour. Here's a swatch of it (not mine, from google)...

I think I have that pearly pink which isn't pink at all ! This week, encouraged by my cousin who said I'd regret it if I didn't get them , I got a set of Leighton Denny polishes from TK Max £19.50 for 5 . I really like the colours and have Little Thief on + it's lasted well . Great bargain I think.
