Ooh that looks lovely starry. I also bought the glitters from tk Maxx and have been trying to figure out what they're called as the colours listed on the box aren't right. The lilac one is amazing I've had it on since Saturday and can't stop looking at my sparkly nails!

I want those glitters. But if I go to TK Maxx I'll spend a fortune on other stuff so I must resist.

Oh you all have such lovely nails and nail varnishes!
My nails are so rubbish, they don't grow. If they do, they are so weak and just bend! :( Any tips on how to get them to grow and be stronger?
I'm looking at getting shellac done. Is it worth it? Would it be worth investing in a kit to do it myself?

Don't know much about shellac, but if your nails are weak and bendy I'd recommend a good quality nail strengthener such as OPI Nail Envy. The original formula is excellent or they do one specifically for soft & thin nails. Put a coat on every day, then after a week or so when it starts to build up too much take it off and start again. You should see a difference within a month. Also get some cuticle oil and put that on at least once a day. Rubber gloves for washing up, cleaning the bathroom etc.

I'm sure my fellow addicts will have some other tips for you. Good luck.

Thank you, I have just bought some OPI Nail Envy. Bought some nail & cuticle oil last night so they should be on their way soon! :j

I found that my nails were great while I had it on, but even worse when I had it taken off, even though I did use some oil every day. Do you use a crystal file? I am trying Leighton Denny Renovate for 2 weeks and taking Biotin & B vits (my medication means I don't absorb all the nutrients I need), then I intend using nail envy again.

No I don't use a crystal file, should I? To be honest, I don't do anything with my nails apart from painting them every now and then. I'm going through a patch of 'self improvement' and just want to look after everything properly.

  • Nothing ventured, nothing gained amyb! I found the strips difficult to get back out of the bottle but the hex glitter was okay.

Nice croc effect starry. I'm tempted now! I'm not that into regular crackle but I like the croc effect there.

I finally got around to trying out some water marbelling and was quite pleased with the results:
