Hello everyone
I bought a brand new phone on an 18 months contract on the 10th Feb 07, I deceided I dont want the phone anymore as I found a better deal, so I rang up Orange and as useual after speaking to about 5 people I was told I need to go to the dealer I bought it from, when i went to the dealer (Mobile Connections in Birmingham) and after waiting for an hour to be seen, the guy very rudely told me first that they dont really do refunds and second if they did I would have to pay £30 for each phone... (as an Administration Charge)
I am Sure what mobile connections is doing (charging £30 for Admin) is completely illegal, as its well within 14 days peace of mind period and I am returning the items unused in original condition. Orange told me to contact the shop/dealer and tell them to phone dealer line to confirm they dont incur any Admin charges at all..
Can i please get some suggestions as to how to go about returning the phone and secondly if anyone can clear me up on my legal standings with regards to customer/consumer rights and the right to cancel within 14days.
