smart halifax card no transfer fee, 6 months interest free

hi not sure if its on here or not, just got our smart halifax card, its got six months interest free on balance transfer plus shopping and also there is no transfer fee. thought it was quite a good card if you use it for the six months only.

Been mentioned a few weeks ago, and am just waiting for my card which has a £7500 credit limit on it. Worth pursuing for all here.

In my dealings with credit cards it seems pretty high. But others may think differently .

ajs1544 My letter from Halifax(smart card) quotes Customer Service Team no. as 08456032887 BUT I would try them on 08003896677 and get through for free. Ask them to transfer you to applications dept.

sorry for not replying beeen out all day, the credit limit i got was 6600, highest one i have had, not that i need all that mind but was interested in the no balance transfer fees. and the phone number i have is the same as above thankyou.

I applied for one of these and received acceptance confirmation yesterday. On reading through the T's&C's it becomes apparent that there is infact a 3% balance transfer fee.
I went back to the Smart website and the credit card page has been taken off!!!

This morning I’ve called the credit card department and have been advised that all of their credit cards hold a 3% BT fee...
I explained that on application I questioned the BT fee and was advised that it was 0%. The person I spoke to today has logged a complaint for me and I’ve stated that I won't be signing the agreement until I have confirmation in writing that there will be no fee. I've also asked for them to listen to the conversation of the credit card application between myself and their member of staff.

I will update further when I hear anything.

By the way I was accepted for the Platinum card if that makes a difference.
