jd williams/naturally close - admin and interest charges

GL with your case, I have phoned JD Williams twice and also emailed them to close my JD Williams account, yet each time I think I've got there I get another statement or a letter demanding I call them about cancelling my direct debit. It seems extremely difficult to close an account with them from my personal experience. I hope you get the admin charges refunded soon.0

Does somebody please have a template they would recommend for an additional letter to JD Williams?
Thank you0 -

I would recommend paying off the balance in full and then you won't get said interest and account charges.
Use it as a credit builder. I've had my account four months, started with £150 credit limit. Spent around £50-80 each of three months and have just had my limit doubled to £300!
Still can't get a credit card as of yet but hopefully after i've had this account 6 months I may be able to!0 -
Help Please!!!
I wrote to JD Williams on November 23rd, threatening court action and requesting a response within 14 days.
Well, 14 days have passed, and I've not heard a peep from them.
Where do I go from here??
Thanks x0 -
ive just recieved a letter today saying all the charges /interest are legal and they wont be refunding any money, im going to write back saying i feel their charges are excessive .
does anyone know if they are overseen by the FSA ?This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Hi Folks,
I'm hoping some kind soul will point me in the right direction for my next move.
I received a letter from 'Oxendales' 'Without Prejudice' which stated, amongst a lot of waffle about whether the charges constitute penalties, that they are still not willing to refund the charges.
Furthermore, they have now removed the credit limit for my account although, naturally, they are quite willing for me to use their company as a cash account. I looked at my account today:
The 'available to spend' is now a minus figure
The balance is the full amount due
The credit limit is £0
So I am now confused.
Do I have any more actions I can take? Do I have to go down the Court route? Is this likely to cost me anything? And can someone please advise me, preferably with links to any suitable templates?
This is for an amount in excess of £700 so I'd rather not let it lie, unless I'm at greater risk of it rebounding on me.
Thanks in advance for your advice.0 -
If you take them to small claims court and you lose, and in my opinion given what you have stated here you will, then you'll be paying the court fee plus all of their costs.
They have stated their fees/charges are reasonable, if their fees really are less than £35 per charge then its been considered reasonable already in a court of law.0 -
I have sent a letter to the FOS they wrote to JD Williams who wrote to me basically saying tough luck,I've requested a copy.of the credit agreement so far it hasn't arrived, but as instructed by the FOS I have sent them a copy of the letter and will wait for their descisionThis is a system account and does not represent a real person.
