Just to say I posted a while ago about my experience with dialaphone.
I applied for an Orange contract which was declined, and they passed my details onto 3 who credit checked me and approved me!
I was not happy, as I already had a three phone and have had enough of their bad service & reception!
Dialaphone insisted they could pass my details onto another compnay with my authorisation or even notifiying me, and their complaints dept was going to send me a letter to that effect...which never arrived.
As someone on here suggested, I complained to Information Commisioner. They have ruled that they did break two parts of the Data Protection Act and have made them change their policies.
Credit reference agency removed the search very easily as well, only took an online 'dispute' to be filled out and next I heard they write to me saying it has been removed. Which makes me think others have complained, as it shouldn't be that easy to get things removed from your file.......
Although I don't really benefit, I feel satisfied that I bothered to report them and got them to change. Somehow i don't think they will be sending me an apology....

Well done,
I know it's a moral victory but it's about time Dial a moan were brought to book on some of their practices.
