Deposit to secure place on Uni course.

Options
Hi all
I've just been accepted on to a University course starting in September, I need to pay 10 percent of the £7000 fee to secure the place.
I am on ESA might have to go onto JSA, any ideas how to get the ten percent, grateful for any ideas.

Are you using a student loan to pay your fees or not?

I'd be really wary of any university which required you to pay to reserve a place. I have never heard of any university with this requirement unless you are not likely to be entitled to student loans so they want to make sure you can pay the fees.

this seems really strange, and truly random as surely most people will be waiting for fee loans to pay them????

    Thank you for that.

Looking at their website there's no mention of student loans; are you sure that it's a degree level qualification, particularly as it mentions that students need to be over the age of 16?
  • Which institution are you going to?
I know there are some that don't accept student finance - those are independent Uni's though.
