I agree it only creates jobs for the people who work there.

The entire thing is such a mess its hard to know where to start, there are plenty of things which don't work such as the work programme but there is no better solution.

The 'real' unemployment figures - if we ever got to know them - would really highlight how serious the employment situation is.

There are many who are not factored into the 'official' figures and it wouldn't surprise me that the true UK unemployment figures are aroung the 5 million mark.

I blame Maggie Thatcher ;), thought I'd write that bit because you obviously forgot to slip it in :rotfl::rotfl:
Its all those pesky 'Tories' fault

Then there will only be jobs in manufacuring

Why would this be, please explain?
You never know how far-reaching something good, that you may do or say today, may affect the lives of others tomorrow
  • Because frankly the best of the best won't do it for less

However, often the "best" are not motivated by money. They are motivated by other factors such as a cause, self improvement, personal satisfaction and ambition etc.

Throwing more money at politicians will (IMO) attract more of the wrong candidates. Politicians should be passionate about the causes they believe in (e.g. representing their constituents) and a truly passionate person would even do this for free if they were not restricted by a need to earn sufficient money to support themselves / their family.

This is a great video; which looks into the motivation of reward.

Buying British will put money into the pockets of British workers who in turn will have disposable income to spend in British pubs, clubs and hotels.
