Don't touch animal friends with a barge pole!!!! I have had "for life" policies with them for more than 7 years. At first we had no problems with them at all but when they were taken over I have had no end of problems. I have to claim on a monthly basis as my dogs have heart conditions and need regular medication. In the end I was having so many problems getting them to pay out I reported them to the financial ombudsman. Suddenly their payments are more regular again but they refused to pay out on one thing even though they had told me on the phone they would pay. Even though my vet said it was life saving etc etc. I don't want to give too many details in case they recognise me from what I say, as my dogs are too elderly for me to be able to go another company. If you want to PM me you can but I would just find another company. I'm sorry to say this, as the reason we went with them in the first place was because they were an ethical company...not sure this is true anymore anyway.
Sadly TC you are one of many in this situation with AFI, but respect your privacy.
Lots of people dped with the "ethical insurance" bit... I don't believe it ethical to ask low premiums and then bump up the income through co payments refusals to pay and capping charges.
