It's hard to overcook stuff in the SC... but if you think it's quite well done enough then you could take it out and just reheat it when you are ready to eat.

HI,
I think about 5 hours should do it - make sure the juices are running clear, and it will be done.
I take it out about half an hour before I want to carve as it makes it easier to cut.
Hope you enjoy it - I have a leg of lamb for dinner, but it is too big for the slow cooker, so will stick in the ordinary oven later. You're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -
I'm cooking a chicken in the slow cooker today for the first time... so I had my slow cooker book out for Lamb it says
0.9-1.6kg (2-3.5lb) LOW 4-10 hours, HIGH 3-6 hours
1.6-2.25kg (3.5-5lb) LOW 7-12 hours, HIGH 5-8 hours0 -
Thank you . We have just eaten a delicious Sunday roast. I left the lamb in for 5 and half hours on high. it was gorgeous. Just fell apart and melt in the mouth. It was the first time i had done lamb in the slow cooker as we don't have it very often due to it being expensive.Nothing to declare

Lidl are currently selling huge legs of lamb for £6.49 instead of £8.49 - I'm going to put a couple in the freezer. You're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -
I managed to get a Whoopsied half leg oif lamb from Asda and decided i'd put it in the slow cooker today while I'm at work.
I put it in this morning with 2 carrots at the bottom to stop it from sticking/burning on the bottom but i forgot to put any water in? Will it still work? Or have I just wasted all that lovely lamb?
I work too far away to be able to go home and check it now and i can't find any threads on here that answer my question
Please HELP!!0 -
I did that with some beef and ruined it. But to be fair it was not on a bed of carrots, so maybe that will save it?
Don't suppose you have a neighbour who could pop in and top it up for you????I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0 -
I don't know about lamb, but I've done that with both beef and pork with no ill effects. The slow cooker draws the stock out of the meat.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member # 593 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts!0
