NTL offers in January - Anyone remember them?

I ordered NTL in January for 4 mb nbroadband and their basic telephone package. The order I responded to was for 4mb broadband for £17.99 for the first 12 months, £24.99 thereafter. The offer was only applicable if ordered by January 31st, which I did, but I called them today to find I was paying £17.99 a month for only 2 MB. When I asked to be put on the offer I applied for, the guy I spoke to denyed there had ever been such an offer and would only put me on a similar offer for three months. I'm now writing a letter to complain, but I wondered if anybody could recall details of this offer so I can back up my claim.

if you haven't already rung this number then try 0800 052 9403 (customer relations) and select the option to cancel package.

have always found them more helpful. i'm only on 2MB BB but only pay 9.99 not 17.99 cos got a retention discount so there definitely was an offer for 4MB and even if you're only getting 2MB you shouldn't b paying that much

will check my bills and see if there's anything on them about offers and if i find something will get back to you.

Thanks Peskie Pixie. I'll try the number you gave me. Hopefully they'll be able to give me this offer, or at least a similar one. I had a feeling I saw a reference to it on the MoneySaver email, but I couldn't locate when I did a search.
