I took out a 24 month contract with orange on a HTC mobile, Ive only had the phone for 11 months and its faulty and quite often cant even make a call. Is there anything i can do as surely the phones arent fit for purpose as its not going to last 12 months let alone 24 months

Take it to your local t-mobile store and see what they can do before it goes over 12 months.0

Both myself and my other half have HTC's and this is a common problem - I'm sure i googled it and found out there were lots of people experiencing the same issues.
With mine its total loss of signal (o2 believe it or not) requiring a restart and with the OH his cuts out half way through a call and experiences signal issues too (Orange). Let us know if you get anywhere as we've both had them less than a year.LBM: 22.12.2010 :j Self-managed DMP start 29.1.2011DMP Mutual Support Thread No: 4130 -
Will call Orange and see what they say tomorrow, mine keeps freezing too. Does anyone know if they under warranty as i refused the mobile insurance with orange?0

I had a samsung omnia windows phone and it broke twice when I was with t-mobile and they fixed it and returned it in around 2 weeks so there should be no reason why they cannot fix your HTC's0

HTC manufacturer's warranty is 24 months.noodlespink2 wrote: »...Does anyone know if they under warranty as i refused the mobile insurance with orange?0 -
As long as there isn't physical evidence of damage to the phone, it should be covered under warranty.
When my Blackberry did this, it was because it was water damaged. The smallest thing can water damage them- even steam from kettles and baths.
I learnt the hard way, you might have too.
Next time ensure you get some mobile phone insurance!
It might sound harsh, but for the sake of couple £s a month, its worth it.0 -
I assume you have done a battery and SIM card pull? If not- take your battery and SIM out for 20 seconds, then put them back in and power up your phone. Or update the software if you can.0

Don't mess around going to orange, they wont do a thing.
Just phone HTC warranty service on 01279 206906, they will
arrange to send out a courier to collect the phone, will fix it
and return it to you.0
