Has anyone actually bought the thing off ebay for 99p, that tells you 'TESCO CLUBCARD VOUCHER CODES to SAVE UNLIMITED £££'s' - is it worth it - I know it's only 99p, but I don't want to make a charlatan rich, if in fact it is a pile of rubbish. All feedback looks good though. Seller is 'royalsite'

Ditto jetcat - What a waste of 99p

  • Hi,

Can everyone take a second to read the following, which has also been inserted into the OP on this thread.
    Hi folks,

Just a reminder that Fraud is defined as 'obtaining money through deception'. Could we keep all discussions on a strictly non-fraudulent basis; suggestions of re-using vouchers could be construed as breaching the terms & conditions of the companies involved. If you suspect what you are suggesting could be seen as frauduelt, it'd be great if you can refrain from posting it.

    Cheers,

hmmm, I see a mod has added a cagey remark to cover the site, showing the definition of fraud. Never seen this about coupon-use before and if anything, what's in that thread is less ethically questionable, IMHO, than someone using Somerfield vouchers at Tesco....

Draw your own conclusions peeps, but I too am holding on to my clubcard vouchers even after conversion to Deals. Why wouldn't we, e.g. if Asda later announced they'd accept them for a trial period we'd be kicking ourselves for having binned £200-worth wouldn't we?
    Hi Folks

As far as we can see there is a distinct difference between:

    1. Using an UNUSED voucher in another store (in this example using Somerfield vouchers at Tesco).

    2. Reusing ALREADY USED vouchers in another store (in this example Tesco vouchers in Sainsbury's)

To clarify, in example 1 it is at the store's discretion as to whether they accept the voucher. In example 2 the store is unaware that the voucher has been used and therefore the person redeeming it is knowingly attempting to reuse a spent voucher.

As with all things, there is clearly an ethical issue here, and we need to clarify how MoneySavingExpert.com views this and would ask that forum members no longer encourage option 2.

    Thanks for your understanding

Got a kingsize bed from MFI last quarter for £150 in deals. £588 plus £12 delivery - couldn't get the £12 change so they reduced the delivery charge instead.

Got lots of vouchers this quarter (not compared to some) equating to around £560 in deals. Wanted a kitchen but the isn't enough. Will be using some for days out at safari park, pleasure beach and sealife centres for our holidays. Might get a few Yates vouchers too as they are always handy to eat in Weymouth on hols in June.

Have booked Haven Seaview (Weymouth) without deals as 2 weeks was a stupidly low price (£146 for 2 adults and 2 kids in touring caravan superpitch) and I wouldn't have been much better off with deals anyway. We went to the same place last year and it was excellent.

We'll be saving ours up for the two years I think and spending them at Goldsmiths. Bought engagement ring from there, and there's a few wedding rings I rather liked the look of too...
  • Just been to MFI to order last of stuff (Thank you Tesco)
Came away with 2 seperate orders.
As i was using the last of my deals vouchers decieded to be really cheeky and push it as much as possible.
Ended up getting 2 lots of free delivery, free insurance on leather goods, 2 free leather care kits and 2 FREE FLAT SCREEN 17 INCH TVS, pointed out to manager that we were going to be sleeping on sofas so could we count it as bedroom furniture for pupose of offer and have free goods.
Manager stated that for my cheek and also as I keep going back to store, he would authorise it. All the time I have my credit card in my hand and the deals vouchers are hidden in my bag.
Then when it came for the time to pay, I whip out deals vouchers.
Order one cost me £14.27 cash.
Order two cost me £25.36 cash.
Still have £260 deals vouchers left.
I am over the moon DSS, now have a flat screen TV each for their birthdays.

I must take the time to write to Sir Terry and thank him so much for refurbishing my house in the past 12 months.

Could do with a bit of Liposuction I am hoping that crops up as a deal sooner or later.

I'm new to Tesco clubcard and so far only have a £4.50 clubcard voucher. Does that mean it's worth £18 in deals then? I might be able to get money off a family day out somewhere then?

Can't believe you lot have so many points - but then again my local tesco has no petrol station and I don't do all my shopping in Tesco. Still waiting for the Tesco club magazines I requested to be sent out.
