What I normally find is that if you go in the week after they have advertised them, they are in stock in the baskets. They never seem to get them in in time. I also think sometimes they hold them back, so that they can clear some of the previous promo stock, otherwise, you find them having about 4 weeks stock running together, with no space for anything else.

One thing does annoy me though with Lidl and Aldi, why is it that the price of the product you are looking at, always seems to be in the next aisle, never over the products. They could do with thse self scanner points, like Netto have ( or had before asda bought them )

I know that you said that you'd asked staff but it's worth asking each time you call in as they might have some locally. We asked about an advertised dvd player when we couldn't see them on display and a member of staff checked in the store for us, then checked availability elsewhere. They then rang a nearby store to hold one for us until we got there to collect (about half an hour) We were most impressed with their customer service.

We eventualy got what we wanted yesterday, we have been asking staff each visit but theyve been useless standard replies" if its not out we dont have any sorry" so I asked if they had any in could they put 2 by for us as we had been in so many times and they couldnt do this either.

Even if its printed in the leaflet its not 100% guaranteed that it would be on sale in any Lidl store or it might be on sale in limited stores, reason being is down to either not enough stock or zero stock has been acquired. Yes its annoying but things happen, i hazard at a guess the leaflets are printed a few months in advance.

Similar thing happened when i was at Aldi, the odd week we didnt receive all of the offers that were in the leaflet.

I'm pleased that you did get what you wanted eventually. We were obviously very lucky with the members of staff that we encountered!:)
