Lidil stock

Why is it Lidl advertise in their weekly specials email something coming to their store on a specific date, its also in their specials leaflet yet its not on sale in either of their local stores?

It was due in on Monday so went in and no they had none, checked incase someone had bought a job lot leaving shelf empty and staff told me they hadnt come in.

Returned Thursday when new delivery scheduled and again nothing on shelf and again told still not available.

Ive been not only to my local store but the next one over too and same there.

I could understand the first time if it hadnt come in on the delivery but twice in a row isnt that false advertising?

Ok so its only an item less than £10 but its not for me someone has asked me to get it for them but am about to give up.

:p

Why not ask in the store?
I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.

The flyers might have been printed months in advance.

All product comes from their distribution centre.

Manufacturers can be late delivering the products to the DC's

Deals may have fallen through, after flyers were printed.

Shops may only get 2 deliveries a week.

    Manufacturers may have gone bust.

Goods may be held up in customs.

Certain stores may not get all lines in flyer, core stores get everything.

Many reasons of why it can happen, They can advertise something, but don't necessarily stock it, after all ''all items are subject to availability''

You could use the link on the email alert to check what the offers in your local store are before making a journey out? For some, you have to be quick, arriving at 8.30am on a Monday is too late.

I have been caught like this too. Many deals seem too good to be true. It happens so often, perhaps it is just a cinical ploy to get you into the store?

I got fed up wasting my time and have unsubscribed from their notifications. I used to go in quite often, now I very rarely visit Lidl.

Has anyone managed to get an answer from Lidl using the form on their website? http://www.lidl.co.uk/cps/rde/xchg/lidl_uk/hs.xsl/6491.htm
Interestingly you cannot proceed without clicking on the type of enquiry but although you can click on compliments there is nowhere to click for complaints!!!!!
So who has a contact email for us to use to complain to please?

We have both a smaller store and a core store locally and neither have had them in.
