Will another network SIM work on my old contract phone?

I have recently come out of a 12 month contract deal with Virgin mobile.
I am now on a new network with a new phone.

My old phone is a Siemans SF65 and in pretty good condition and it must be worth something on Ebay.

How do I know if its is 'locked' into the Virgin network? I am hoping that it will just be the case that any simcard from any network will work ok, but I am not sure how to test it.

Can anybody help?
Thanks

I would say it is 99.9% certain that the phone would be locked to Virgin best was to check though as you said you have a new network put your new sim in the old phone and see what happens :)
  • Thanks, I will give it a try (assuming I can get the back off my new phone!)
