Recently me and my wife parked in asda car park in disabled bay, and forgot to display the badge when we came back ofc there was pcn waiting from company called careparking. But the registration was wrong as example:
My reg: XX YY XXX
On the ticket XX Y XXX
So they forgot one letter well number but they have pictures with correct registration... can they change PCN?? well what should I do?

Throw it in the bin and forget about it. It is an invoice, one you can refuse to pay.0
-
agreed, file it0

Are you sure about it because they have pictures and they say if someone doesn't pay they gonna get collection agency - bailif to get the money etc.0

OP, have a look at this thread...

There are other threads on the Parking board which will reassure you that ignoring that letter really is the best thing to do.0 -
Yup, ignore it - Its nothing but a scam and even in legit parking enforcement, a wrong registration is a fatal mistake.

I've moved this thread to the Parking Fines Board.
OP - I suggest you take a look at this thread: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/22148030 -
It's safe to ignore this completely because if it's a council the PCN is fatally flawed , if a private parking company it's a scam and designed to part you with your hard earned.
Who issued this ticket to you ?Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
Yup, sling it. I bet they get the wrong name and address off DVLA, and the owner of the other car bins their correspondence too. So hopefully you will not hear any more about it anyway, but if you do, just ignore it. Nothing will happen, GUARANTEED. Nothing's ever happened with the 80+ that me and friends have had.0

A complicated scam that IMPERSONATES authority.
will take a lot of getting your head around.
Works on the principle that it is legal to invite someone to pay a private invoice.
It is also legal to sue someone in court for not paying it.
However the law says a private company can not charge you a penalty.
So they wont sue you.
What they will do instead is impersonate many types of authority, debt collectors, solicitors, you name it !
Send lots of threatening letters and threats about taking you to court, put mistakes in letters to try and coax you in to a row.
The tried and tested way to beat them is to ignore them, stay ignoring them, which is harder than it sounds, but it works !.
In the meantime they will attempt to "fool" you in to thinking they have some sort of legitimate authority and power.
Truth is, it is probably some bald fat crook in a back bedroom with a printer and a contract with asda car park and they share the scam money.
They also pay to a "private club" called the BPA who allow them to use more fake looking authority.
As you will see, its a big fake.
Most fall for it.
If you do pay, beware they come back for more money in mysterious "late payment charges".
My advice is, if you are given one of these "fake fines" take what you bought back and get your money back, when they hand it over, tell them, that is for having crooks with fake parking tickets in your car park, I dont care who's fault it is !
