I was very tempted, until I realised they wanted £4.95 delivery, and if you wanted to return for any reason they wanted another £3.50. So if they turned out not to fit or whatever, it would cost you almost £9 to try them on!

No, it wouldn't cost 9 pounds to try them on. If you return within 7 working days after delivery of your item, your original purchase price + outgoing postage is refunded in full (as per distance selling regulations and as quoted clearly on their returns policy on their website)

You would in fact only pay 3.50 to return unsuitable items. If an item is damaged or faulty, it would be returned at their cost (once again complying with distance selling regulations and clearly quoted on their website) and this is in fact, usual with most web retailers.

Thanks OP, just ordered me and DD 3 pairs of winter lined trousers, DH another pair of winter lined trousers (he swears by these, having 2 pairs already) and a jacket again for me and DD - cost £130 and got 6% cash back through TCB site so very happy indeed :j

DH says winter lined trousers are perfect for walking the dogs in the cold so fingers crossed they will be great and very impressed they have short length one's as me and DD are only 5ft! :D

Might be cheaper using 20% off code at Amazon depending on size & colour wanted:

Oh thank you! Sleep deprived brain possibly, but when I clicked on returns it only showed the collect plus £3.50 return information. Strange. Saved me some cash by not buying I guess :)
Still looking for the plot...... Anyone seen it???

I returned mine immediately but never got my postage refunded??

  • You should have had refunded what you initially paid - cost of items plus postage. Which postage didn't they return? the original postage paid or the return postage for unwanted items, can you be more specific?
  • They returned the price of the jacket but not the £4.95 postage I paid. I then paid £3.50 to return it.

It is often the case you have to remind companies in these instances, then you get refunded.

Thanks for that. Just ordered me and DH some of the convertible trousers. Been looking for some at a decent price for ages.

  • The winter lined stretch kiwi trousers are awesome, the normal winter lined kiwi trousers are good, but the stretch ones are so much warmer as the lining tends to cling to you even more.

Next time that happens with any company, get on the phone, start quoting 'Distance Selling Regulations' Office of Fair Trading and Trading Standards and you'll get the refund of the initial postage you paid very quickly. Retailers rarely ignore those that shout about it :D I've never had a problem lol
