The gap between the D & 1 is too small, it needs to be larger than the gap between the the two Ds.

I think a 21st birthday would be better for getting her private number plates. Just for me when they get to twenty one they are a little more grown up and appreciative.

I agree with poppasmurf... DVLA is the best people to buy from. I bought mine from a separate website and my £299 plates ended up costing over £460.
they did handle everything for me though and made it really easy0 -
