    Rich people save then spend.
Poor people spend then save what's left.

Sound ON . Now I know I'm old'ish and grey, I know I draw my pension, I know I'm not the sharpest knife in the draw, and now I know there is an OFF BUTTON !. Yes on the main stem of the screen is a revolving volume control, but on the front beneath the screen are three buttons. Don't know aht they're for, but one say's auto. I reckon I must have pressed it whilst dusting and switched the sound off. Damn !!!!!! and blast!. I'm not afraid to tell you this, because I'm equally sure this can happen to anyone, you simply overlook the obvious.

To all of you that spent time trying to help me, I am very appreciative, thanks.

  • Hi,

heh heh, I like that, :T a nice non technical solution....... switch on.

At least you have admitted it, some folks would've just drifted away and never let on.

Now you can experiment with the sounds (control> sounds> events) and set your own dings dongs or do dahs.
