Well, if anyone is still trying to find an alternative to the original PAH own brand wood pellets, I can highly recommend the Tesco Wood Cat Litter Ultra Absorbent 10 Litre at £3.61.
Unfortunately being a newbie, I can't post the link for them. Brown and cream coloured bag, with a black/grey white kitty on the front with a spot by its nose.
I gave them a whirl in one of the kids trays and I can safely say, no sawdust after they've been for a wee. I've bought a few more bags today from a different Tesco which are the same (so I know I wasn't just lucky with one bag).
Ok, they're a tad more expensive to what we paid on the 2 for offer on the 30L in PAH, but I'll save on the hoovering bills in the long run
Just to clarify, the Tesco's ones are the darker, larger, wood pellets (not compacted sawdust) purrfect!
Hope this helps0 -

That's really expensive (sorry) - I have tried it & it's OK but didn't notice any difference to As*da's one.
Also, the price jumps by huge chunks eg 80p in a week  and when it gets to "silly" levels (obviously when people stop buying it) - the price comes down again ......:mad:Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
2016 Sell: £125/£250
£1,000 Emergency Fund Challenge #78 £3.96 / £1,000Vet Fund: £410.93 / £1,000

It's not that much more expensive than the PAH brand, we paid £18 for 60L, and the Tesco brand is £21.66 for 60L. I'm happy to pay the extra knowing it'll last longer.
It's definitely very different to Asda's Smart Litter, Asda's is more like the compacted sawdust (although a lot less so than PAH's) whereas Tesco's is the darker wood. Although from reading your posts rising, you preferred the lighter, smaller pellets from PAH? So the Tesco's brand probably wouldn't suit for yourself, sorry I couldn't be of help there
I've not noticed the price fluctuate, granted I've only been checking it online while humming and harring over the last few months, so it may have changed in store in that time.0
