Hi I, He is definitely going, he,s more often in spain, than here.Ineedaname wrote: »If she is having to pay for everything because he doesn't contribute, then that's what she puts on the forms as that is what it costs her. No point making things look better than they are in the hope he may contribute half for a few months before he jumps ship. Is there any doubt about whether he will actually go or not?
I don't actually know what is different between the online £2 reports and the paper versions. I've only ever trusted the paper versions myself, even before I started using MSE and read the online ones weren't as good. I just like having the information in hard copy for my own files. Creditors have their preferred CRA to report to, hence the discrepancies you note. You may find the other remortgage appears on Experian.
As I've been reading this thread I have wondered if there's any option for selling the fully paid for property in Spain? Would that recover enough money to avoid BR? I'm sure the OR will have an interest in all 3 properties and at least that one may end up being sold anyway if there's no money available to buy back the Beneficial Interest in it. I'm really not sure how the OR deals with foreign properties though, hence the need for specialist advice.
He has said he will go with her to Spain, in a few weeks time to see if the bank will take the mortgaged house back, with no comeback, there are 3, 2 derelict,he,s ploughed about £40k into 1 which is close to being habitable, but, I think they will do as they do here, auction it, and demand the remainder.
The paid for house has been up for sale for 2 years, since they returned from living there;
It,s rented for £250 pcm, to a friend of his, he may buy, but it will not fetch much, it,s up for £80k now. Anything is better than nothing, but I don,t believe he will go through with all this.
He,s thrown the keys in on 2 houses to my knowledge, I,ve no idea how he is on any mortgage, he,s crafty, uses aliases.
Goodness knows what he has got hidden.
He,s a lot older than daughter.
He has contacts in everthing,everywhere.
I cannot print what he is, but it,s taken daughter 20 years to realise it.
She,s as culpable as him, she just signed everything he asked her to, to live the high life, we warned her this day would come,but that,s no consolation;
With the ccj, she cannot rent and walk away from the house she,s in, which is beyond redemption.
0844 to cancel free credit report, so it will cost to cancel.
Martin should emphasise this when promoting it.+ the hassle;
Nothings free;;;
I,m an ardent fan on MSE, but all is not as it seems;
We will get there sometime, but where, I don,t know, DRM is best, but I doubt this is going to be an option.BR it may have to be.
I,m an eternal pessemist,anything else is a bonus;:beer:0 -
Hopefully he will get his comeuppance at some point and somebody will unearth all he has hidden.
It would be good for some more experienced members to comment on your latest post, especially the below statement as I'm sure there must have been others who have been able to walk away from houses with CCJs on file.With the ccj, she cannot rent and walk away from the house she,s in, which is beyond redemption.When I joined, I needed a name. Hi,just want to say I wish I had someone like you on my side,looks like you will get this sorted for her :beer:
as for the CCCS forms,don't get to caught up on the details,of cause they are important and if we can help with the right answer thats always better but as long as you fill them in the best you can it will give them a feel for where your daughter is at the min and they can advise from there,I would think alot of the loans etc are in both names so if she were to go BR then he would then be expected to pay,so he is daft for not being involve in this process,my advice would be for you to fill in the full amounts, if he were not to pay, your daughter would have to,it will clear her of the debt but all may very well pass to him.0 -
Hi sniggings , thanks again, alas, after obtaining the 2 credit reports, they are all in my daughters name,£25k, except the mortgages, he couldn,t put his name to any of them as his rating was shot before they met;Hi,just want to say I wish I had someone like you on my side,looks like you will get this sorted for her :beer:

His history is a litany of failed enterprises and scams.
We are putting everything down as if he wasn,t there, we have said no cars, but there are 2, in his name.
We are plodding on, it is a bit of a minefield, I have constantly been on pc from 8am>8pm+ for days , researching the things to do.
I am posting on other threads that appertain to things, like coop bank A/c etc, it takes over your whole time at first;
Thanks to this thread, et.al all of you, we would be lost. THANKYOU:A0 -
How much is the owned outright property in Spain worth? Depending on the value, the OR is likely to appoint an IP to be Trustee in bankruptcy, they would then deal with getting your daughter's share of the equity.0
-
As he is not involved in the process then stating no cars is correct. Remember, this is her personal debt remedy you are seeking.
You're getting there, just one step at a time and tick each task off as you go.

Hi Jcs1, thanks for reply.How much is the owned outright property in Spain worth? Depending on the value, the OR is likely to appoint an IP to be Trustee in bankruptcy, they would then deal with getting your daughter's share of the equity.
1 property is owned outright and rented for £200pcm,joint names.
On the market now at £80k hoping the tennant will buy it, BUT, he,s a friend of her partner, so he will probably do a deal that daughter gets not half, but less.experience leads me to that assumption.
The other 3 are in a row, 1 nearly finished but cannot due to lack of finances, £80k mortgage outstanding.joint.
There,s a caravan, plot of building land on sale at £30k, no takers, had it years.+ loads of furniture/white goods he,s conned off ex pats who have come home, due to finances, and he said he would sell it and get something for them.The saga is endless.
If she can retrieve anything from number 1 house, and not be liable for anything else, that would be a good outcome.We shall see:beer:0 -
Hi I, yes 1 step at a time. Filling in her cccs forms, she,s just left, opened a Coop cashminder in her name, so wages can be paid in, and close the joint one when she,s been to spain with him, if it happens?Ineedaname wrote: »As he is not involved in the process then stating no cars is correct. She will need a car, and we were/are going to give her my wifes, she,s 50 in August, that was to be her present, or my pride and joy, 12 year old BMW, we only require 1 now, the BMW has done 100 miles in 12 months.
I won,t allow her to get into debt for a car, so is it preferable we wait until judgement day, before we give her the car, or put it down now??
Confused about that. Also, they are his cars, but she contributes to running costs?? She does use it sometimes.0 -
Hi Guys, just finished the cccs but have not included house insurance/water yet and it says she is £946 more than income, and highlights in blue ways of reducing outgoings, There is not 1 thing that hasn,t been tipped in blue. just 1 hair, £20 per month, says have it cut less often.Hi I, yes 1 step at a time. Filling in her cccs forms, she,s just left, opened a Coop cashminder in her name, so wages can be paid in, and close the joint one when she,s been to spain with him, if it happens?

My wife colours it for her, shampoo,s cost money, I don,t know now where I am regarding the situation. We have put down what I think is a reasonable amount for things, obviously we can reduce it by not doing anything, no sky, no food, no papers, no phone, etc.
It says , Cannot cover living costs.;;;Cannot pay unsecured creditors;;
We know that, that,s why she,s in debt; Any cuts she makes is not going to pay a penny off the £26k she owes her debtors;;
Any advice would be grateful.0 -
Regarding the cars. I would suggest she stops paying towards his cars and stops using them also. With your BMW, firstly, can she realistically afford to even put petrol in a car? Does she have an absolute need to use a car? If not then hang on to the car for now. You could always keep everything to do with the car in your name, V5, insurance etc, and just have her as a named driver. That way she only needs to find a little bit of petrol money if she really needs to borrow the car.
Redo the CCCS remedy and prioritise. House and bills first, then minimum insurance needs, then groceries. Everything else is a bonus.
It may be she needs to walk away from everything connected to him, rent somewhere she can afford and then reassess?
Has she spoken to any of the debt charities yet? Gather all the financial information you can and help her have the conversation as that may be the only way you can both sort through things to see a way forward.When I joined, I needed a name. The forum members gave one to me...I am INAN
