  • Hi all :)

I have FINALLY discovered the reason I have been unable to sign up to Netflix..

They DO NOT accept Royal Bank of Scotland Visa debit cards!

I spoke to Netflix customer services who told me that they have had to BAN these types of card from the site as RBS make their card payments TOO secure! Netflix said that at the start of the free trial RBS card holders were signed up to the site without any way of Netflix being able to take any payment from them hence why they had to ban these card holders!

They did ask me to use another card but I cannot as I got rid of credit card once it was paid off last year to avoid any future temptations...;)

They also told me to ask a friend or relative to allow me to sign up using their card despite me saying no several times - The American sounding chap was VERY keen to get me signed up and I had to say 'NO!' a loud and final time & then hang up in the end!

Anyway - just thought I would give the heads up in case anyone else was having the same trouble! :)

Why dont you use paypal then?
  • ok changed it now to us version, I was putting in the wrong settings, thanks

They'll match Quidco if you put in a claim, and pay £15.15.

"Please note there is no minimum usage requirement to receive your Netflix Cashback.

Offer only available to new, first time Netflix customers and their households in the UK or Ireland. Internet access and valid payment method required to redeem offer.

Cash Back Offer: Cash Back will be awarded to qualified customers after they successfully signup for a Netflix free trial. Please allow up to 5 business days after completed signup, for the cash back to reach your account."

    Just signed up, thanks.

I had to make sure I was signed out of facebook, then started again, and it gave the option to register by email.

I went through Topcashback - how do I get them to price mach Quidco?

Go to My Account, then Customer Care. Scroll down and the third item is "submit a higher price guarantee".

    Yes it is.
  • I used an RBS card last week to set up an new account
  • Got my £15 cashback from Quidco on Wednesday but really don't want to cancel yet as I'm on Series 2 of Spooks and there's tonnes more episodes left. I've been watching on the wii and the ipad. I love the way it knows exactly where you are up to. Looks like offering good cashback will keep me as a paying customer for a bit.
