Support Group - anyone in for pain?
Comments

I'm not claiming any disability benefits (nor do I intend to) but using a wheelchair to push myself around would be an impossibility to me, I have to have someone push me due to back problems and dislocating shoulders (amongst other things).
By the by, I couldn't clap my hands together 10 times either....my wrists would come out :rotfl:We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
In answer to your question, the best I can, well somebody has linked to the full descriptors but a lot of people on here seem to be only asking about the mental health ones so that's what is commonly linked to.
There are descriptors that will match most people with severe pain issues.
I have to ask, surely nobody would not use a wheelchair and be out of pain just so they could keep benefits?! Coming from somebody with a Dad in constant pain (not stoppable with a wheelchair) I can't imagine anyone would choose to be in pain so they can keep £110 or whatever a week.0 -
I virtually can't walk, but I do try to keep myself into some sort of level of fitness. The DWP = Legally kicking the Disabled when they are down.0
