£60 for the front pipe on my Zafira.
All because someone left a lump of black metal on the road this morning, and it ripped the flexi in half.
Nice little job for tomorrow now.

make sure it is sorted before part ex, dont even think about taking a car that has a fault to a dealer, they will not be honest with you and say its hundreds of pounds of work, even when it clearly is not.

andrew page/partco/euro car parts will sort you out for parts, local garage will have it on nice and quick and then its in a much better position
Who remembers when X Factor was just Roman suncream?

Sorry OP for briefly taking this in another direction, but a lot of sensible people seem to have a strange, naive view of the "value" of their px. Take a look around the garage that you are trading in to. Are there many noisy, oil dripping, not one panel matching similar cars to the one you are choppin-in on the forecourt? Have you impressed the salesman with the collection of receipts from Halfords (for the wrong oil) that you present as a service history? Have you also successfully haggled the trade-in "value" by using the advice from HJ or waved the Parkers book at them?
Trade-ins unless very, very clean are going out to the trade, to auction or straight to the scrapper. Of course any sensible, professional seller will want to engage in the traditional "haggle", but make no bones about it, your car is generally a nuisance, has to be priced accordingly to take account of the truth about its "immaculate, trouble-free" nature and when you take part in this tradition, you lose.
If, for convenience, you want to px instead of selling your car personally and then haggling with cash, make sure it is clean, odour free and as honest as you can make it. Anything else is worthless.

    Somedays Kwikfit looks tempting.

Middle box was rotten as well, so another £65 for that, and everything including the back box I put on last year had to come off, then it snowed (heavily) on me halfway through.
Still, it's all back together, and ready for monday morning.

Nearly £130 with the gaskets and clamps, trade, from the local motorfactors, as opposed to £120 from Vauxhall for just the front pipe, but then only £99 for everything from buypartsby, but I wouldn't have seen them till at least Monday.

I've left the oil change until tomorrow though!

    (It keeps the neighbours entertained)
