Probably quicker to ring a garage or fast-fit as if it's disappeared, you need a replacement rather than a repair? - depends if it's broken on a joint and needs the middle bit as well.

NB - you dont say what car so guessing between £20 to £500 from experience ...
  • i have galaxy, focus and picasso, all back boxes cost approx £70.00 , unless v special, ie alfa etc, go to partco/brown bothers or lucas outlets, just google, in scotland we have Watt Brothers, equivalents everywhere.

good luck, above is part only of course, if you or someone you know is good with cars, ask them a big favour!

    good luck

If its to get PX'd, why bother? Make sure it's not dragging on the ground, cable tie it if it is, and crack on.
  • Hi Colino its gone i could not retrive it from busy road x

It wont be repairable it will be a new back box.

I don't know how much clearance is available on a punto, but I've changed the exhaust on my Corsa on the drive without needed to jack it up.

Its technically easy but hard work. £30-40 for a new exhaust from euro parts.

Should be less than £100 for a new back from a decent garage.

Some of the Puntos had a 'one piece' middle & back so a bit fiddlier without a ramp - I'd go with most on here - less than £100 fitted, less than half that for the part & DIY. Andrew Page is a parts factor I often use, depending on your location.

I had all the pipe sections replaced on the Vectra for £180 (the hangers had rusted off), including fitting, new clamps and rubber mounts.

The only really expensive bit is the CAT, but most of the time the original part will out last the car.
