Got exactly what i wanted. was worth getting up for!:j

As usual availabily poor on most FRI/SAT but i found lots of availabilityb during august holidays for Blackpool / Scarborough. OK for a cheap get away. £50 for a 5 night break cant be bad.

boked saltash for Aug could only get 4 nights together was trying for a week but £40:j

DH said you won't get this area in Aug can't wait to tell him ha ha when he awakes from his slumber

I get £10 rooms where I need the hotel BUT when I try to amend to 2 people the rates go up to more than double that. Not had this before! Going through TCB so not sure which site I'm on - doesn't ask how many people until you click on the £10 ones. Can anyone help?

It finally sorted itself out and I booked for 2 people at £10 a room.
Going back to 1st page and adding 2 people the rooms were more expensive but when I tried to amend a £10 room to 2 people it more than doubled the price. Guess it was because they had just put them on?

so can anyone who has done this before confirm that it starts at 6am and what people are booking now is just pure chance?

I mean is this all that will be released or will they all go on sale @ 6

I'm going to be sooooooo fed up if more get released as i've booked but not the exact hotel in London I wanted.:(

I got saltash 14 and 15th, tenner and 33 quid. Doing the firework championships!!

Wanted to go last year, i remember now last year the Wednesday was more expensive too.

They put them on in dribs and drabs and sometimes some go on after 6am or even the next day.
It's not pure chance as many people realise that to get the days you want it's try early. I WISH they'd let me book for 2 people at the £10 rate - not had this before - glitch I suspect?

is it not worth the risk? at least you have one room in hand, you might get the one you want later on, could you give your original booking to a family member as a prezzie or something?

Mine are still full price fluctuating in price but not going down to £10 or £25....still £80 +

I always get up early and look if interested in anywhere as quite often site crashes after 6am with the volume but it is also true they release rooms in dribs and drabs so some may become available later that weren't available
