Heating options for metal container/office

Hi, Can any one advise on what heating options are available that don't cost a fortune to heat our offices.
I work at a small company whose office is a decked out metal container - we have 4 areas in the container sectioned off for various office work. At the moment we use fan heaters and electric radiators - we do not have a gas supply.
Basically we are freezing our feet off as a cold air is constantly on the floor and no amount of mats/foot rest is stopping out toes going blue!
We have considered oil heaters/calor gas fires but are unsure how cost efficient these would be - if anyone is in the know and would care to share I'd appreciate it : )
Thanks
Lisa

If you mean a metal shipping container, they are very hard to keep even slightly warm. At my old place of work we had two linked together, which had a packing line in.
It was absolutely freezing, after a week or so, we took everything out, put battens on the floor filled it with polystyrene packing chips and put plywood on top. We lined the walls with yellow insulation panels we got from Wickes. It wasn't too bad after that.
Heating wise, portable Calor gas heaters are dearer to run than electric heaters. You get about 75 to 80 hours from a 15KG cylinder using one "bar" and they cost about £32 for a refill depending on where you live.0 -
Thanks for that - I shall definately mention it to the boss as an option having got incredibly sore feet after the cold temperature yesterday!0
