Sky + - Have they stopped the £10 Charge?

Someone mentioned on the forum a few weeks back that they had heard rumblings that Sky were dropping the £10 charge for the recording capabilities of Sky from 13th February.
Has anyone heard anything further on this. - Considering going to Virgin as my package will be cheaper - although not if they drop the £10 charge.
Thanks all

Be great if they did. I know I'd have it as would many others.Bet match total as of 04/10 = God Knows + About £1000 Quidco. Time for Mrs Huddsta to have a crack!!!
The Bronze Challenge - earn £250 in profits =£73.320 -
lot of talks in discussion forums, but no signs yet. If you have Sky HD subscription you don't have to pay SKY+ charges0

Sky reducing their prices? highly unlikely surely!0

Not going to happen i'm afraid. It was one of those internet rumours that gathered pace as it rolled. I could imagine the amount of people that would downgrade their packages if this were to happen, it would he a huge loss for Sky.0
-
Possibly not a loss for them at all. It's the £10 charge that puts me and others off getting it. As it is they don't get a penny from me but if they dropped the £10 charge I'd be very tempted.0

I'd certainly pay the £99 for the box if there was no monthly charge.Bet match total as of 04/10 = God Knows + About £1000 Quidco. Time for Mrs Huddsta to have a crack!!!

i would drop my sports package in a heartbeat without that surcharge of £10 for being a none subscriber to the movies or sports.what makes me laugh is that if you ring up with a sky+ problem after 12 months they will charge you a repair etc but they dont mind taking the 10 quid for nothing.0

I cancelled sky+ last month,I was on the full package paying £43.50 I'm now on freeview from sky and still getting the recording capabilities from the sky+ box for freeamanda40 wrote:Someone mentioned on the forum a few weeks back that they had heard rumblings that Sky were dropping the £10 charge for the recording capabilities of Sky from 13th February.

I visit another forum specially for sky users.. The main owner of the site has some good connections in Sky and has stated the dropping of £10 is imminent.0
