Yes it's rubbish. You should with gas central heating just stay on a standard tariff and pay about 10p maybe 12p for all your units that you use plus a standing charge. E7/E10 is worthwhile if you have electric heating and/or heat your water with electricity or have very little daytime usage.:footie:

E10 prices were about 15% more than E7 plus not many suppliers support it.IT Consultant in the utilities industry specialising in the retail electricity market.

Why do you want to even consider E10 if you have gas CH? Even off peak electricity is still more than gas per kWh.
What would you actually use the cheap rate power for, unless you have storage heaters? No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

That looks very much like an E7 tariff to me. The lowest rates I've seen on Heatwise or E10 or RHT are around the 7p mark for off peak electric usage. Can you reveal the supplier and region?
Appologies , those values were from an out of date txt file i have from a previous year. I have just checked my online last bill and here are some updated info ..

375 @ 7.03p is £26.36
358 @ 14.11p is £50.51
60 days @ 26.43p is £15.86
Total £92.73
Or....
733 @ 10.25p is £75.13
60 days @ 22p is £13.20
Total £88.33
Plus VAT and less discounts....
You would save £4.40 on the pre VAT/discount rate over those 2 months and have no restrictions on when you can use electricity.
I have never found an E10 rate that makes using E10 actually worth using.:footie:Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
