Orange Cancelled My Insurance

Hi, wonder if anyone has had probs like this before. Last month I contacted orange and took out their insurance on my D900. No bother. So i cancelled my insurance with carphonewharehouse.

Today my phone developed a cracked screen. I took it to the orange shop and they called customer services and after the usual security checks they told me my phone was not covered for breakages. I was then told that my payments would be refunded and my insurance cancelled.

Now i have a broken phone with no insurance.

i have sent an email asking Orange to come up with a solution.

Any ideas - i really don't want to go elsewhere and claim that my phone is okay, then commit fraud.
