Liverpool airport - smoking?
Comments
-
Thanks very much for most of the comments and help.
One certain person on this thread seems very interested in my smoking habbits ( whos probably an ex smoker whos scared of starting again) so here goes
I am a non smoker but travelling with family who do smoke. We are considering booking the executive lounge which is non smoking but if other bars allow smoking we will go in those.
If smokers want to go in a corner of a pub or smoking room I really don`t see what the problem is .
Maryotuam, are you 100% sure about no smoking anywhere? On the internet you can be anything you want. It`s strange so many people choose to be rude and stupid.0 -
I am sure. I used Liverpool airport in early January. You used to be able to smoke in the pub area until recently but no longer. I went outside for a last fag after check in but before going through departures. It's great to be ALIVE!0

There is definately a smoking area in the bar next to WH Smiths at departures.
I was there 29 January, and it was still a smoking area.0 -
Liverpool flights are mostly short haul, aren't they? Surely whoever smokes could have a ciggie just before entering the airport, and then hold on until reaching their destination?0

Maybe shut the pubs, snack bars etc as well - do people normally start drinking at 7am, and can't they survive a couple of hours with stuffing their faces?0

Hmmm actualy..... it does amuse me when I see people in the bar in the very early hours (0700) having a beer.
Why?
The last thing on my mind at this time is getting a round in!0 -
Thanks all,
FIL/MIL will be happy now that they can "puff away on a fag" ":rotfl: for 2 hours.
Sadly for me this means that I will have to pay full price for drinks rather than take advantage of the cheap Lounges( found on this site)(

I don't smoke any more but used to so I know how hard it is and 2 hours will seem like 24 hours to a smoker so although I am very glad I don't smoke I do understand. I have been on Manchesters airport website and mentioned both in Terminal 1 and 2 are smoking areas at "meeting points and in some seated areas of the lounges". Servisair website for lounges also state that there a smoking area.No Matter what you do there will be critics.0
