I bought this camera in red a few days and it is amazing, the quality of the pics and the video's are outstanding! Really good price too so if anyone is on the hunt for a good camera at a good price have a look at this one and the reviews are excellent too.

How bulky are they?

I bought the bag to go with it and to be honest I don't really find it too bulky at all. Mind you not that I am allowed to handle it to often as my husband thinks I am too clumsy

The AA battery aspect is what would put me off, as I've had a few cameras that took batteries in the past and all of them ate them up.. especially on the video function.. Although I suppose you could get around that with a few rechargeable batteries.

There's a reviewHere that shows some of the pictures taken with it and the quality which could be useful?

Snap, great little piece of kit at a great price. I bought 3 sets of Uniross 2700 rechargeable batteries & am only on my second set since Xmas day & i've been snapping like mad...

That's a fabulous picture bribrian. Was that taken solely with the camera - no other accessories?
I really, really want a 'proper' camera but am so put off with the batteries thing. Can you get bridge cameras with rechargeable batteries?
