hello everybody, Ive followed this foroum for ages but only just posting first post, I do hope i have posted this in the correct thread. Just woundering if any body can help or offer advise. I brought on 06/09/2005 from carcraft. I had the car on Finance but as i had only been in my job just over a year and 28 hrs a week they said they could not give me finance from 1 lender i would have to have it off 2 lenders- The funding corp. and All In ONE (later took over by creaction)
Only last week i was having a clear out and found the carcraft book and looking through i saw that i had paid over £1200 in PPI.
£853 to The Funding corp.
£414 to All In One /creaction
now i remember when coming to finishing the paper work the guy offered the PPI and i refused and said it would not be necessary, as i was in a good job. He said he recommened i took it but said ok about not having it, he went out of the office came back after 15 minutes and told me as i was borrowing from 2 lenders i would have to take the PPI or he would not be able to let the deal finish. But being there for 6 hrs i was frustrated and getting feed up i signed as i needed a car.
Now as i feel i was missold PPI i am going to try and claim it back. do i claim from carcraft? or the 2 lenders.
I have the payment protection insurance: consumer questionare down loaded to my pc. and reading through at question A.4 What is the policy number of the payment protection insurance you are complaining about?
Do i type in my 2 lenders agreement numbers or do i have to fill in 2 seperate claims for the lenders. As i see it was carcfraft who missold it to me do i leave that blank?
many thanks for your time

Single premium PPI added to loan will almost always be upheld by FOS. It can be defended but the firm's paperwork must be spot on (by which I mean meets FOS standards, not the firm's).
Two complaints to CarCraft are required.0 -

Did you get any where with this? I'm just going down the road of trying to claim back from Carcraft/Black Horse. I only borrowed from one lender, but never would have accepted PPI if a realised I was being sold it. :mad:0 -

hi, yes i got a reply from them, in there final response letter they wrote this
" we note the transaction took place 6th septemebr 2005, over 6 years ago. this means that you are statute barred from taking legal action because the limitation period of 6 years has now expired, therefore we are unable to investigate any complaint that you may have relating to mis-selling of payment protection insurance.
so i rang the Financial Ombudsman Service to see if it was worth carring on, they said carcraft where wrong to say what they replied and im within the time limit for it to be investigated by them, i said are they just trying to fob me off with this letter and he said sort off, they asked me if id like to take it further which i said yes if you think its worth carrying it on and they have opened a case for me now sent me a few forms and ive posted them off:)
the only thing is it could take 12 months before i hear any thing.0 -
I only took my loan out in 2008, but am fully expecting to be fobbed off by them.
I posted the complaint to them yesterday, just wondering how long it took for you to get a response?0 -
I persued black horse for PPi also. They told me today they didnt supply it, carcraft did. I also had a split loan and was told i HAD to have it, also they told me because i was under 25 i HAD to have it. Black horse sent my a questionnaire to fill in then send back to CC.Its very daunting xThe feeling i got when i confirmed my place studying criminology at Exeter Uni was brilliant!!!!!
The pride my children told me they had in me was even better!!!!! # setting positive example to children is OUTSTANDING!!!! !:grouphug::grouphug::smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea0 -

That's what Black Horse told me a few years ago when I tried persuing on the phone and Carcraft just didnt want to know, so I just gave up in the end.
I'm guessing the two of them will say I should be claiming off the the other, so will wait to see what CC say. Not holding my breath for a swift resolution on this one, but will keep you posted.
How far have you got with it?0 -

The FSA will not look at your individual case but they can force CarCraft to reopen all cases unfairly rejected on this basis.0 -
