Yesterday was my FIRST day on MSE so I'm not totally au fait with the thread categories, the second purse concept, the abbreviations etc.

I certainly had no intention of coming across as patronising. If you think I was, it's in your head, frankly, not mine.

Until your post everyone on here had been friendly. I really don't feel like continuing to post now.

You came across as "I'm right, you are wrong" answering something that was not in my post.
If I had said 'don't eat chicken thigh because it's bad for you' or 'animal fat kills you' etc etc I would have tolerated, probably expected an answer like yours.
But to me it looks like the OP has a specific plan in mind and is simply looking for the cheapest way of achieving it.

They irony of all this (which I hope will make you understand why your answer to my post seemed absurd to me) is that I'm considering switching from low-fat spreads (full of chemicals etc) to proper butter (if I manage to overcome some resistance in the family), exactly for the reasons you mention.

You made the wrong assumption, I simply don't like having fat floating on my stew/broth dishes.

But as this is not relevant to the OP let's agree to... agree, and move on ( and I will look at the info you posted, I was looking at the Weston Price website mentioned on another thread)

Farmfoods have an offer of kg bags 2 for £8.

Pulses have loads of protein and are cheap.

I bought them when they were 3 for £10 and the Chicken is really nice I will be getting the 2 for £8 because they are really good value and they taste fantastic
Low Carb High Fat is the way forward I lost 80 lbs

Since first using Martins I have saved thousands
  • Farm foods do 2kg for £8 but are frozen, but they also do mini breast fillets too, which are good. Tesco's/Asda do 1kg of frozen for £4.56 i think. Aldi does 1kg for £4 ususally - frozen.

I'd just go to farm foods, buy a load of them frozen, and use one of the vouchers you can get on their website, that gives you about 10-20% off. (You get this via email from their web site).

All the chicken above is really nice, and big portions...

    Hi Simon

It you are on a high protein, have a go at making some strained greek style yoghurt, the protein content is doubled when strained.

The website doesn't state water/salt free, family farmed etc. Sounds like you've added a marketing spin to it....
also their interpretation of DSR is odd:
8.1 The Buyer may cancel any order for Goods for any reason up to the point of dispatch and any payments made by the Buyer shall be refunded in full within 28 days. The Buyer may cancel any Contract for Services at any time before seven working days has passed from the day after the Contract was made and any payments made by the Buyer shall be refunded in full within 28 days. If, however, the Supplier starts to perform its side of the Contract with the agreement of the Buyer before the Buyer exercises this right to cancel, the right to cancel is lost.
