Some chicken is pumped full of water to make it weigh more, which is something you need to check labels for for clues.
The "Chosen by You" range does state "with added water" - others might not. They are 76% chicken breast. http://images.mysupermarket.co.uk/ProductsDetailed/44/005944.jpg
76% That's shocking! There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0 -

Iceland do bags of frozen, diced chicken breast.
They're £2.50 for 480g, so a tad more expensive than Asda, but Iceland is 98% chicken breast.Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
Hi If you live in the north east then george bolam butchers to a tray of fresh chicken breasts £23 for around 20-22
They are good quality and do not shrink when you cook them...
Not sure if they do mail order0 -
Have a look at Quorn and see whether that gives more protein per 100g as it would be cheaper. Can't bear the taste of chicken breast myself, eww like cardboard.
As a body builder I guess you are after lean protein, eating frequent small meals and avoiding carbs ? Do bear in mind that 58% of protein converts into glucose though.0 -
Farmfoods have an offer of kg bags 2 for £8.
Pulses have loads of protein and are cheap.0 -
Aldi do a bag of frozen chicken breasts varying in size with approx 6-8 chicken breasts in it, Think it's around £3/£4. Very nice quality, me and my partner buy them regularly.0

Surely the difference in protein content between breasts and thighs is minimal? A couple of grams per 100g? Thighs have more minerals... They certainly seem more likely to not be messed with or processed!0
