I've never bought them but some butchers sell trays of meat. I'm sure chicken breasts are included in these. I see then for £5 or £10 a tray.
I guess a whole chicken wouldn't work out better, as I assume its the breast meat you require?0 -
last time i was in costco it was £6.95 a kg which was the cheapest i could find at the time, since then i have came across a halal butcher at £4.40 a kg .... thats where i will be going from now on , it isnt for everyone but it might help some0

Tarelgin do 5kg of chicken breast for £27, £5.40 per kg. Order 2 and you also get free delivery (on orders over £35)
It's really good quality, tasty and isn't pumped full of water like Tesco value chicken seems to be.
That's probably the best value for money. If that's still too expensive you may want to look at turkey steaks and mince, they can be fairly cheap.0 -
Does it have to be breast? Thighs are cheaper and tastier!I Believe in saving money!!!:T

Asda "Chosen by You" Chicken Breast Fillets (500g and 1Kg bags) work out at £5/Kg.
Some chicken is pumped full of water to make it weigh more, which is something you need to check labels for for clues.
The "Chosen by You" range does state "with added water" - others might not. They are 76% chicken breast. http://images.mysupermarket.co.uk/ProductsDetailed/44/005944.jpg0 -
There is a deal at lidl at the moment where you can get a kilo of chicken breast for £5.99. The same thing would cost you twice as much in marks. It does however depend on how you want your chicken, fresh, frozen, diced and what quality you want standard, value etcSealed pot challenge no5 member no1816!!0
