downloading movies from the web?

are there any sites which enable people to download movies which we can burn directly on to CD at maybe a reduced rate that buying shops? or am i dreaming? thought might ask. thanks in advance.

Some rental sites offer you the option of downloading the film and receiving a copy in the post. However, this is more expensive than just buying it! As far as I am aware, there is currently no LEGAL way of downloading a film cheaper than buying it in the shop.0
