Putting this here as more likely to be seen than on chat thread

Received reminder email about tickets for this - went in to cancel and says already done - not by me.

So suggest they have realised their mistake.

    Thanks

I left it on the codes thread for half an hour and then moved it to here to stop lots of replies on the codes only thread as it seems to have been a problem today with chat.

    Hope thats ok

    Sarah xx

No problem - thanks for moving it. I would probably have deleted it tomorrow.

The screenings I go to are never full. I think if you follow the Codes thread, unless you're there within 5 minutes of a post being made you might aswell forget about it.

The screenings I go to are never full, I think most people just like the idea of getting free tickets but either can't drive to a cinema, or they are scared to go alone because here in Britain that's a thing we have, people scared to go places on their own. I think if you follow the Codes thread, unless you're there within 5 minutes of a post being made you might aswell forget about it. I know a few minutes in Microsoft Word gets the job done just as quick.

Yes, there can be no shows for all sorts of reasons; people getting caught up in traffic, sickness, having to work late etc but SFF etc take this into account and oversubscribe. People forging tickets means that when there is a full house, genuine tickets holders can be turned away.

Also just because there are empty seats does not mean that all the seats in the screenroom were allocated in the first place.

For example a room can seat 150 people but only 100 tickets might have been on offer.

Which area do you go to? Many people are often turned away because they live in areas which are very popular especially now there are so few previews around.

For anyone who was considering going to the screening of Frankenweenie tonight, SFF have issued an apology
Due to a glitch in the system, you may have received an old reminder email for Frankenweenie. This is not screening tonight and we apologise for any inconvenience.

They might issue more tickets, Eventbrite do that some times.

But the screens 2 and 3 in Cornerhouse are rather small unless it is shown in Screen 1 which holds more than 100.

Gah! They've released tickets for Thursday and Friday, and I've managed to miss all of them :(
