As my boyfriend said "It doesn't have Tom Cruise in it, CGI, car crashes or a Hollywood ending" (his take on why people might not enjoy Filth) but he read the original book years ago and LOVED it.

Even more so when he discovered there were VIPs, Irvine Welsh and James McAvoy were there, amongst other cast and crew. The pass he got said "Dress Smart" but unfortunately, there were no warnings about this for the ShowFilmFirst crowd; I'm sure it didn't matter though. The director gave him his pass to get into the cinema! (He only realised this later on).

He came home all giddy with excitement, so someone was happy :D

Edit: I just looked at the Sunshine On Leith map (sorry, but I thought it was a bit cheesy, free or not) http://www.visitscotland.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/SOL-movie-map.jpg they seem to have conveniently forgotten some of it was shot in Glasgow (Merchant City), as Dexter himself pointed out...!

    Hi Guys

It seems we have some posts creeping back on the codes only thread with lists of locations as a seperate post after the code has been posted by other users.

I know it was decided a while ago that theses posts were not needed and that the extra emails were a pain each time they were posted and that must of you found it much easier just checking locations yourself and seeing if your cinema was available as soon as the code was posted.

Is this still the case guys? Should they stay or should they go in future?

    Sarah x

Sarah, I do not think that there has been much discussion about this and therefore it might be useful to put a note in the code forum, as I would not have thought many people check this particular forum, I certainly do not.

Rather than the message being at the top, it might be better if it was posted as if a cinema code was listed. Maybe then we can get a healthy and more concise debate going, IMHO.

But then people will reply on the codes thread.....

I would expect Sarah to phrase it so that people understand where the discussion is taking place, with the forum link.
  • people will still reply on the codes board, they always do

Really? Sarah did once post information about such a debate the last time and we still had people discussing on the Codes Only thread. Then arguments break out and we also get the smart ones who deliberately post comments. It gets out of hand.

After all, it clearly states that it is a non discussion thread, yet that doesn't stop people saying, "I know this is chat but..."
  • Filth - what a load of pish! 2/10 for me.

Thanks Geordie - had tickets for this one which I have now returned - was in two minds when I secured them and your comments have helped me decide that this is one I will be happy to give a miss

Well, I do not think this discussion is going to go anywhere then.

Sarah, I vote for the way it used to be. All codes and chat to go in one thread and to hell with it.

Let chaos rule. It would make your life far easier as you would have nothing to delete.

Oh god. The 'I know this is chat but...' preface. Every time I see one of those I think my neighbours fear for my sanity.
