shambles with the sky screening of "easy money" in birmingham.

half the subtitles were missing from the film making some scenes completely devoid of subtitles. quite a few left including myself, the sky man said those who left will get a free film of some in a week or so via email. I think the film had been stretched too much so the bottom row of subtitles was cropped out

(I do presume the film was not supposed to be made like this)

That's a fault with the way they have projected the film. They should have stopped it and restarted it correctly.

Did anyone tell Odeon as soon as the problem became apparent?

this was cineworld but yes they were trying to fix it but they couldn't hence why I think the film they had was the wrong ratio or had been butchered before it got to them. if they hadn't projected it properly i presume it would it would have been a quick fix.

Sorry, I had just been talking about Odeon :o

The problem comes down to the fact that Cineworld don't have proper projectionists and most got rid of the managers they trained to take over too.

It is doubtful that the film itself was faulty but more that it wasn't set up properly. It sounds like they didn't bother to check it before showing it. Poor job by a company trying to cut corners to save money.

Can experienced members please stop posting links to competitions on Codes Only.

It's possible the newbie didn't know about the competition thread but by stating it is a competition proves the experienced member does.

Just do as I did when it was first posted and send the link to a Board Guide asking for it to be moved to the correct place instead of sending out yet more alerts.

    Thanks
  • Hi Guys n Girls :) I have tickets to see The Heat, in association with Heat magazine, does anyone know whether I need to bring a page in from Heat Magazine with me or did it just have the code in it?

It is very rare to be asked for the page from the magazine but if you want to be safe you should find the magazine is still on sale as it came out on Tuesday.

Does anyone know how to make sure the Total Film newsletter arrives quicker? Every week I get it about ten/fifteen minutes after the screening is posted on here and even by that point there's no London screenings left! Very frustrating
