Nah that's fine I would of said same how hard can it be to bring ID with you!
Was thinking Credit Card or Debit Card might do (although a previous post did say a cinema did not accept it) only issue with my cards has my initails and surname, where as my ticket has my middle name and surname. Touch wood I will find passport! thanks agains for help
As a mater of interest, were you asked for ID?0 -
Would it do this if newcomers to the thread are hitting the EXPIRED button having joined it at the FIRST post (which is dated 13th July 2012) thinking it's out of date ?

No wasn't asked for ID! (lucky coz I couldn't find my passport but did take proof of address, thought I'd give it ago as I want to see Iron Man plus I don't live far from o2 so If i got refused no biggie)
Was surprised they didn't even bother to scan the barcode on ticket! but then if you needed to go toilet they had to give you a ticket! MASSIVE screen! bit of a long wait they didn't show Red Carpet till about 7.15 we had been in there from about 6.10. But can't complain great to see Iron Man 3D (the iron man 3d glasses was nice touch)0 -
Is anyone else in the same boat as me? I've got tickets for two films on Monday:
I'm So Excited (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2243389)
The Look of Love (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1951216)
I can't decide which one to watch. I've seen trailers and both look a bit bizarre! What do you think?!0 -

To be quite honest, you were never going to be asked to provide ID for this film at that venue and I would have said as much but the lecture and all that followed had already been posted.
On the list of venues there was only one that is known to ask for ID and that has nothing to do with Sky it is a venue thing and they ask for ID for most previews.
I do hope you didn't waste much time looking for your passport.
Security was paramount last night and always is for these blockbusters. They are more worried about people recording the film than who is allowed in.0 -

Thought that might be the case as most London cinema don't really seem that bothered as long as you have the paper ticket you can just go straight in. I do understand fellow poster question it's not really that hard to bring ID with you just incase.
Yeah there was a team of secruity making sure no one was filming the movie.
At least I can finally say I have been to a Sky screening! I understand they release tickets in batches but I personally feel it's almost lucky dip who gets them. Much prefer Virgin way where they announce the date you can book for tickets and if you miss out you can't say you were not warned.0 -

Some London cinemas do ask for ID from time to time as do some regional cinemas but O2 were never going to for this, they had far more to do dealing with the security side and their VIPs.
Sky do issue small batches now but it is still difficult to get the London venues if you miss out on the first batch.
Virgin have finally learned their lesson from the days when they whipped up such hysteria by doing Tweet countdowns and crashing the Internet (or so it seemed) let alone their one sites and those run by SFF.0 -
