Life of Pi - Not sure how the story proves the existence of God but it was pretty to look at. Definitely worth a free ticket, not sure I would have paid though.

For me Life of Pi is more about Faith than religion.

Second watch for me as the first time it left me to distraught to concentrate on the film.

Tonight I survived emotionally but the film still lacks a spark and falls a little flat.

The trailer is quite misleading with it's Coldplay soundtrack.

I saw Life of Pi last week and really enjoyed it. Want to read the book now and see how it compares.

Where do you live? I'm from Norwich and usually get there at 5.40 for a 6.30 showing!! The screenings have become really busy recently and I like to know I've got a decent seat.

I go to the Aberdeen screenings and there are always some seats left.

I'm keen to read the book as well to see if they did it justice.

Personally I enjoyed the faith aspect which was thought-provoking.

Went to see The Impossible this morning. Brilliant film, very emotional, I highly recommend taking tissues with you to this one.

It was a Virgin Media screening (my first), and we were given an (expensive looking) mince pie and bag of popcorn on the way in. Not sure if the Sky screenings do something similar, or it was just a one off thing for this film, but it was unexpected and a lovely surprise at 10am on a rainy Saturday morning :)
  • Very good movie, enjoyed the mince pies and popcorn.

    The family are Spanish.

...yes I know...I watched the film...

Don't see why they had to make them an English family, even if they spoke English instead of Spanish i'm sure they could have found suitable Hispanic actors.

Giving out fifty plastic bags of popcorn means the sound doesn't die out to a reasonable level until at least twenty mins into the film.

Saturday morning was the wrong day for it. Sunday's are bad enough.

I was near the front of the queue and was worried that there wouldn't be enough left for the people at the back, I thought we were meant to pick popcorn or mince pie but the people in front of me grabbed one of each so I did the same :s

I didn't really notice a difference in noise levels than any other day tbh.

Virgin always hand out popcorn and the cinemas have enough for the expected number of customers, which in the case of Liverpool was disgracefully low!

Sky used to give popcorn and a bottle of water when they first started their rewards.

Sometimes they reward their London viewers with extras but no longer for the suburbs.
