Have i missed The Hobbit screenings or are they just not doing any due to popularity? Time is creeping up on the film release date.

Only one for the O2 in London. Details are on the codes only thread but all tickets are gone by now.

The latest codes for Pi now mean that in Liverpool and Manchester there are two screenings on the same night!

    Liverpool ONE and Switch Island

    and

    Printworks and Trafford Centre

This is very unusual, I really can't see both cinemas in both cities being full with so many other screenings.

Have you checked the location on the reminder you've been sent?

The location might well have changed.

    Hi all,

Wondering if you know whether Life of Pi screening on Tues 11th Dec for London is at Shaftesbury Avenue Cineworld or Haymarket Cineworld?

Originally I got tickets for Shaftesbury Avenue but now I see there's some new codes for the exact same day NOT at Shaftesbury Avenue but at Haymarket.

I didn't receive any email notification regarding change of venue, so want to make sure I go to the right cinema!! Thanks!!

Did you fully understand the twist for life of Pi? I'm not sure as i presume you mean the gate on the boat?

Saw Life of Pi last night.
Visually stunning but my one word description would be "Weird".
But even more puzzling for me..... what gate ?
Did I see an edited version of the film ?
Not that I am really bothered - only reason I would watch it again would be to see the animals/cgi of the animals....
But maybe if I had seen the bits with the gate, perhaps it wouldn't have been so weird.

Rather annoyed that for the third or fourth consecutive month, my cinema not even listed for Virgin ticket.

When Pi is caught by his father trying to touch the Tiger. They bring a goat . . . Won't reveal more because of spoilers but that should trigger your memory.

Shouldn't that be 'Tigger your memory'? :D

As with the book before i was kinda underwhelmed by the whole thing. The special effects were (mostly) superb with great use of framing for some scenes. But storywise I'm just not sure. May be i should buy into that whole religion thing for it to truly touch me.

But that wasn't anything to do with the boat..... or was it?
    Really confused now....

Sorry to pick up a day late on the question about the gate in Life of Pi, which I mentioned - I was meaning the goat gate, which gives nothing away about the ending - or the beginning, or middle.

Someone mentioned that they didn't understand how something got through a locked gate. They were referring to the goat gate when Pi was young, whereas i thought they meant a gate on the first boat/ship. If you understand the actual meaning of the film you would understand my quote when i thought they meant a gate on the boat/ship. Hard to explain when not trying to give spoilers lol

Not the coat on the goat sailing the boat towards the moat?
